Clients share more than contact details with a design and engineering practice. Land documents, site photographs, survey data, and existing drawings often arrive before the first meeting. This policy explains what we receive, why we need it, and how we look after it.
At a glance
- This website has an enquiry form. What you send through it is emailed to us and used only to reply to you and discuss your project.
- We also receive personal information when you contact us directly by email, phone, WhatsApp, or in person. There are no advertising trackers or accounts on this website.
- If you accept analytics, Google Analytics counts which pages are visited. It does not tell us who you are, and you can change your choice at any time.
- Project documents you share are used only to assess, design, and engineer your project.
- We do not sell personal information or share it for marketing.

Who we are
Integrated Structural Optimization (ISO) is a structural engineering and building design consultancy based in Gazipur and Mymensingh, Bangladesh. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Integrated Structural Optimization. "You" refers to anyone who visits this website or contacts us about a project.
We decide how the personal information described here is used, and we are responsible for looking after it.
Information we collect
We only collect information that you give us or that is needed to run the website:
- Contact details
- Your name, phone number, email address, and organisation, when you get in touch with us through the enquiry form or directly.
- WhatsApp messages
- If you message us on WhatsApp, the messages, files, and your WhatsApp profile details reach us through WhatsApp, a service run by Meta under its own privacy policy. We use them in the same way as an email.
- Project information
- Site location, plot size, intended use, budget range, timeline, and other details of the brief.
- Project documents
- Land and ownership documents, mutation records, survey drawings, soil test reports, existing building drawings, and site photographs that you choose to share.
- Technical data
- When you load a page, the company that hosts the website may automatically record standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running.
- Usage data (only if you accept analytics)
- If you accept analytics, Google Analytics records the pages you view, how you arrived (for example, from a search engine), your approximate location at city level, and your device and browser type. Google Analytics does not store your IP address, and the reports we see do not identify you. If you decline, none of this is collected.
- Office map
- If you choose to show the map on the contact page, your browser connects to Google Maps, and Google receives your IP address and browser details under its own privacy policy. The map does not load unless you ask for it.
When you send the enquiry form, your message is delivered to our inbox by an email delivery service. The website itself does not keep a copy.
Please share only what is needed for the stage you are at. Early conversations rarely need full ownership documents, and we will tell you when they are needed.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and talk about your project.
- To prepare fee proposals, feasibility notes, and scopes of work.
- To carry out structural, architectural, assessment, survey, testing, and approval services once we are engaged.
- To prepare drawings and documents for approval by RAJUK or other relevant authorities, when that is part of our scope.
- To meet legal, regulatory, tax, and record-keeping obligations.
- To keep this website secure and working properly.
- If you accept analytics, to see in aggregate which services, projects, and articles people find useful, so we can improve them.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not send marketing messages unless you have asked to receive them.
Project documents and confidentiality
We treat land records, drawings, and site information as confidential. Access is limited to the people working on your project.
We will not publish your project on this website, in a portfolio, or on social media without your permission. When we do publish a project, we leave out the owner's name, exact plot details, and anything else you ask us to withhold.
How long we keep information
If an enquiry does not lead to an engagement, we delete the information and documents you sent within a reasonable period, normally within 24 months.
For projects we work on, we keep design and engineering records for longer. Structural calculations and approved drawings can be needed for future alterations, inspections, or questions about the building, sometimes many years later. We keep them only as long as they serve that purpose or as the law requires.
How we protect information
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. These include access controls on project files, secure connections (HTTPS) to this website, and limiting documents to the people who need them.
No method of sending or storing data is completely secure. If you have particularly sensitive documents, ask us how best to share them.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, including Bangladesh's Personal Data Protection Ordinance, 2025, you can ask us to:
- Confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and give you a copy of it.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete information we no longer need, unless we must keep it for legal or professional reasons.
- Stop using your information for a purpose you previously agreed to.
You can accept or decline analytics, or change your choice later, with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
We will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request.
Where information is stored
Our team works in Bangladesh. Some of the services we use, such as website hosting, email, and Google Analytics, may store data on servers outside Bangladesh. When this happens, we choose providers with recognised security practices.
Children
This website and our services are for adults who are planning or commissioning building projects. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we add new features to this website that collect personal information, we will update this policy before they go live. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page shows when it last changed. Cookies are covered separately in our Cookie Policy.
